Only red ones, I love pink, lavender, yellow, orange…. I’ve been given red roses twice. Once at a funeral, once as a valentine gift. They were half dead from a gas station with a bear in gold lame white a plush heart that had a ripped seam. I should never have married him.
Ah. Regrets. We all have them. And that bear sounds crooked, but I am glad you like pink, lavender and the rest.. Which one would you say makes your heartbeats go through the stratosphere?
To be honest, I don't want to be directly associated with the British sometimes, but, alas, I can't escape! a 16 and a 12 year old, both boys, here! Thank you for the honesty in this piece, Dorie. It's great to get to know people better! 🤍
16 and 12! Challenging ages. So many discoveries through puberty and becoming a young man. I have three boys, two girls. The girls or rather women now 28 and 24. My boys 26, 22, and13. All “A” names. Avè Marie, Adia, Austin, Alex, Aidan.
Oh yeah, the eldest has been challenging for sure! They’re poles apart in personality though so fingers crossed that the youngest is a little easier! 😂
All I can say is it’s been a ride! Whew! They are all diverse in their personalities and require a different style of parenting. When I was pregnant I would play music to my belly. The music they seemed to like best gave me an inkling of their future selves. One liked orchestra music, one like Def Leopard, one liked Elvis, one liked Jazz.
Four grown children? Seriously? You should also put in your bio, discovered the Fountain of Youth.
lol I have my mother’s genes… none of the women in my family, on her side at least, age quickly. But I feel all 50 years in my bones.
This seems so long ago, and yet it says one month ago. I'm glad that somehow, someway our paths crossed.
It’s a pleasure to meet another lover of Chinese culture here. And also someone who likes to cook and doesn’t like to clean!
My pleasure to meet you!
Love it, Dorie! Nice to meet you!
Pleasure to meet you as well! Have a wonderful day!
“My hair is very curly when wet.” Hahaha I can relate! 🤣
So good to formally meet you Dorie! 🥰
It’s an absolute pleasure to meet you as well.😊
That was a real honest piece and also serves well as an introduction to yourself. I really enjoyed reading it.

hii you're welcome always :)
Dorie is a certified on mountaineer. She is kind, but I wonder what the roses did, to deserve an exile from her dates?

Also, the name Avè Marie is beautiful. I also love the others too. Thank you for sharing these! GORGEOUS!
You are so kind! My family gave me a horrific time about my name choices. lol!
