You didn't leave me anybody to feel sorry for, and I don't think that was an accident. Both of them walked in with their eyes open and you don't draw a way back out. It's a cold thing to be told, and I'm glad it was you telling me, Dorie...
It’s a painful thing. There isn’t room for negotiation at that point. Thank you Asuka for reading so carefully. I always look forward to your comments🩷🙏🏽
Your first two lines are so powerful. The juxtaposition between being chosen or kept is so stark. You are a talented writer and your attention to details in life is astounding 🙌
Thank you Leonorra! I would say being a nurse I’ve seen everything, but people still surprise me. I think my biggest surprise to others is they never quite realize how much I see and pay attention to until it’s too late and the die is already cast.

Wow that's a strong one, painfully strong...
Thank you Dean.
Thank you
Confident, painful, and maybe a little angry. Very human and a pleasure to read, Dorie.
"I recorded it in the car sitting in traffic listening to music"
^^^ Interesting. I've thought about writing something in this way but haven't tried it yet.
Miss fuels me. I’ve been branching out more finding new things to listen to, giving my brain new sparks of emotion to write from.
That's some powerful work, Dorie.
Thank you Gary.

….and that’s your superpower 💪💪
I agree. 🩷🙌🏼
I feel this deeply Dorie...
Thank you Sara! This one popped out on my two hour drive yesterday. I recorded it in the car sitting in traffic listening to music.
Recently I also use an old recorder from my radio times. Found it hidden on the camera’s case and has been in my pocket since:) quite useful.
So helpful! Great minds!
