Ming stood at the head of the conference room, his posture radiating a calm authority that commanded the room’s attention. He peered over the wire rims of his glasses, his gaze methodically sweeping over the assembled group.
“Thank you, Director Mu,” he began, his voice even and clear. “There are a few essential points I must address before we discuss schedules. First, remember the archives are a preservation environment. No food or drinks are permitted, even in sealed containers. If you do not hold a current manuscript preservation certificate, you must request assistance from the librarian or from me to handle any text. For those wishing to obtain certification, I will be conducting a seminar next month, every Tuesday and Thursday from five to seven p.m. You can earn a novice certification upon completion.”
