Chapter 6
Crossing the university campus was a journey in itself. If you liked exercise and had the time, you would dedicate at least two hours if you kept a good stride. You had to navigate its eight subdivided sections, pass by not one but two student union centers, and go around four separate cafeteria buildings, while weaving between the student dorms and temporary staff housing. However, the campus designers had carefully cultivated the campus to look like a little city itself.
The design included multiple small parks, manicured lawns, little gardens and numerous rest stops. Benches and tables were generously located throughout, offering rest and shade.
