This is so soft it made my shoulders drop a little—like I accidentally wandered into a hug. The way your breath syncs the moment made me smile. Such a gentle, glowing piece.
This is beautiful, Dorie. It feels like that kind of love where everything softens, whether it’s a partner, a parent, or holding a child. That moment where two breaths fall into the same rhythm. Really lovely.
Floating memories make some of the most beautiful pieces, I think. There’s so much feeling in the way you write, even when the strings aren’t coming easily. It’s lovely, truly.
Thank you. I was not able to find compliment words with tonal parallelism for this one, so the Chinese version does not flow lyrically. The English however was a memory I wanted to keep close.
I agree with everything Andrea says. I couldn't top that in a million years.
Are you going to put these poems in a book and try to get it published?
Yes I will. Thank you for your support and encouragement!

Thank you, that is a lovely compliment
That's a really moving and touching poem. I really liked it.
Thank you Gary.
This poem is so tender and moving, I could feel every heartbeat and every breath.
Thank you for reading and commenting. Your beautiful words touched me this morning.
Mostly Irvine and Pasadena which is far from me. Both are an hour drive in different directions if no traffic.

Thank you Andrea, it was a floating memory, I wrote down. I can’t seem to string words lately that are not nostalgic.

Thank you!
With a rhythm to match the words: calm, measured

It's got to be hard to mesh the two. Kudos to you for even trying, I know I'd be banging my head against the wall
It is especially since I’m only at HSK 3 level. Perhaps as I go further it will get easier.
